Exactly. Said Minister should lose his job.

Sorry, but no. Goodyear should be graded on the merit of his actual job performance.

If the fundamental principle of modern biology is off limits for discussion by the Minister of Science how can he do his job? How about discussions of the expansion of the Universe (astronomy), the age of the earth (geology), the germ theory of disease (medicine) and other scientific matters? These are all religiously controversial as well. What isn't off limits?

Likewise, man made global warming is a fundamental cornerstone of atmospheric sciences. You cannot study or predict the weather without a deep belief in the need to fund more global warming research. I hereby declare anyone who doesn't want a massive carbon tax to be anti science.

Evolution is definately not a fundamental principle of modern biology; its a deviant religious tennet that has diverted biological research money into propaganda mills, rather than the laboratory.
