Imagine that last fall before being elected, Barack Obama had outlined the positions he has embraced since being inaugurated as president.

Ummmm, he DID tell us. All you had to do was have your eyes and ears open. None of this is a surprise to me. the shocking thing is the number of people who are surprised. That willful hopey-changey ignorance sure is blissful...

VDH presents a nice compendium of Obama’s first 100 day failure, but certainly he isn't suggesting that if Obama had been honest about all this up front it would have changed anything.

Many of us aren't surprised at all at what Obama has done and how he has done it. It was obvious from looking at experience, voting record, associations, his actions during previous campaigns using every legal trick to get people knocked off the ballot, his murky, slimy affirmative action education and “business” record, and the empty rhetoric of a tin hat dictator, etc., that Obama was going to be a demagogue cynically using any manipulative device to push a lefty power grab.

Blacks would still have voted for him 96% no matter what he said and did because 1.) he is a democrat, and 2.) he is black.

White guilt neurotics and brain dead hopeychangers would still have voted for him because Obama was the empty vessel they filled with all their childish idealistic hopes and dreams, so there was never an correspondence with reality among those types.

If Obama had said plainly that he was going to use any crisis and manipulative misdirection to push the most radical earmark filled pork laden bloated legislation possible as fast as possible to attempt to change fundamentally the core relationship that all Americans have with government and what is left of the free markets, it might have swung maybe 1% of the vote. Maybe.
