He STILL would have won because of his cult following.

As I read the article, the recurring thought about the modern Democrats pops up once again. “The adults have left the room.”

“The adults have left the room.” Yup, they have and it is a problem in both parties.

I had the exact same thought yesterday, when mulling over the fiasco of Mr. Brown’s visit.
An adult led operation would not have insulted the Brits the way these bozos did.

The radical muslims tell us EXACTLY what their intentions are and so did Obama.

Obama told us what he would do. Some of us listened and understood and some of us did not.

He's no mystery.

Exactly ryan71, Obama told us what he would do. The question is and has been for the last 6-9 months, what must be done to stop him? BO is the culmination of the steady advancement of Marxism in our institutions over the last 100 years. We better start listening to each other and quit blaming everyone except the root cause.

Can you imagine what damage this President will have done in the next 3 years?

Imagine that last fall before being elected, Barack Obama had outlined the positions he has embraced since being inaugurated as president.

Ummmm, he DID tell us. All you had to do was have your eyes and ears open. None of this is a surprise to me. the shocking thing is the number of people who are surprised. That willful hopey-changey ignorance sure is blissful...

Most FR threads, I'm hearing that GW Bush and the GOP is the root cause, not the marxists and the terrorists. Sad.

If Ronald Reagan were a Freeper today, his "11th commandment" would be his tagline.

VDH presents a nice compendium of Obama’s first 100 day failure, but certainly he isn't suggesting that if Obama had been honest about all this up front it would have changed anything.

Many of us aren't surprised at all at what Obama has done and how he has done it. It was obvious from looking at experience, voting record, associations, his actions during previous campaigns using every legal trick to get people knocked off the ballot, his murky, slimy affirmative action education and “business” record, and the empty rhetoric of a tin hat dictator, etc., that Obama was going to be a demagogue cynically using any manipulative device to push a lefty power grab.

Blacks would still have voted for him 96% no matter what he said and did because 1.) he is a democrat, and 2.) he is black.

White guilt neurotics and brain dead hopeychangers would still have voted for him because Obama was the empty vessel they filled with all their childish idealistic hopes and dreams, so there was never an correspondence with reality among those types.

If Obama had said plainly that he was going to use any crisis and manipulative misdirection to push the most radical earmark filled pork laden bloated legislation possible as fast as possible to attempt to change fundamentally the core relationship that all Americans have with government and what is left of the free markets, it might have swung maybe 1% of the vote. Maybe.

"Can you imagine what damage this President will have done in the next 3 years?"

Oh yeah, I can. And I did while justifying voting for McCain despite my having sworn to NEVER vote for him again.

Bush says it's 'essential' to help Obama

Former President George W. Bush, making his first public speech since leaving office in January, says he wants Barack Obama to succeed and that it's "essential" to support the new leader.

"I love my country a lot more than I love politics," Bush said. "I think it is essential that he be helped in office."

But he also said he was not going to criticize a sitting president. Only one that has no class will do that. The peanut farmer from Georgia, Billy Jeff come to mind

If you don't criticize the

policies of a sitting President who is dismantling your policies that kept this nation safe for 7 years against Islamic terrorists, then you are either a fool or an idiot who doesn't give a damn about the safety of this nation. Cheney had the cajones to do just that and I applaud him for it.

You’re right, and thank you for saying it. I feel like getting one of those bumper stickers that says “I’ll treat your Presiden with the same respect as you gave mine.”

Unfortunately, all those supposed conservatives that bashed President Bush contributed to the election of the man who will ruin this country beyond repair.

You never answered what you wanted him to say, so I'll demonstrate for you. You want this report instead:

Are you so blind that you cannot see that anything short of what Bush said would be used AGAINST our cause? Bush is not in a position to help the conservative cause, and the worst thing he could do is attack him. Period. Get over it.
