Smart car is better suited for Manhattan street parking. They can get into ridiculously small spots. Only advantage I can see.

Yep, that’s really the whole point. The Smart was designed for the cramped narrow city streets of Old Europe. It’s really designed around space efficiency rather than fuel efficiency.
