Not so sure. The JMB designs would fall under the blanket "procured for use by the United States military" clause. Under that edict, it is feasible that they could grab ANYTHING ever "procured" by any branch/unit of the military or any police agency. That would include a heckuva lot of wheelguns and shotguns. FWIW, it was not at all long ago that it was more the rule than exception to find lever action "deer rifles" in the law enforcement racks.

Yep. In 1994 I saw a Texas Ranger in Bay City, Texas sporting a Winchester model 94.
