Much like the crisis that was too good to ignore as we rushed to spend 4 year's worth of money in 14 days, the AIG bonus debacle was just too rich for Democrats to pass up.
Here's a tip: Democrats believe that finding an easy target to prop up as enemy #1 makes them seem superior. Limbaugh yesterday, AIG today. Meanwhile, someone is escaping out the back door with all of your money, in sums that make the AIG bonuses seem like tip jar money!

Rather than “distraction”, I prefer the word “diversion” as it is intentional.
Diversion is an old standard of the Socialist/Democrats, but what are they diverting our attention from?
Everything they are doing as everything they are doing is interwoven towards the goal of Socializing our culture, and ultimately towards World Socialism.

Their own 'automatic' bonuses?

Turns out the "Just How Stupid Are We" book is not one I'd recommend. I just liked the cover and thought it applied to the current political scene, but I realized later after reading a few of his articles that he's a left wing snob himself who wrote the book to hop on the Bush-bashing wagon. Considering the fact that he supported Obama, it begs the question: Just how stupid is he? I'll give him some credit though. At least he's honest enough to report that viewers of O'Reilly and listeners of Limbaugh are smarter that the average bear, (
5 Myths About Those Civic-Minded, Deeply Informed Voters) and didn't selectively misrepresent that fact.

Ball? This game is organized to the point where there's even a ball on the field?
(Sigh)....OK, who's got the ball and where is it? Not trying to be funny here at all....

if you’re in a plane with no working engines and you’re trying to land on the Hudson River - don’t get too distracted discussing why the birds got caught up in your engines. Try to land the plane!
