Me thinks that the Bailout itself was akin to "rewarding incompetence".

BTW, I heard that AIG guarantees the congressional pensions. I wonder if this had anything to do with their bailout?

Repeal Stimulus Bill $787,000,000,000.00 Let your congressman know that we are not going to be gang-raped by incompetent representatives who pass mega spending bills without reading them and forcing our economy into a near bankrupt position.
B Frank and his liberal reps are just as incompetent as he labels AIG execs. This is the pot calling the kettle black.

We reward incompetence every day we pay Barney a salary. Apparently it’s the American way.

The bonuses that have been paid are one-tenth of one percent of the bailout money from the feds and AIG was contractually obligated to pay it out. Not one cent of salary or benefits have come under scrutiny and this should be in the same category. Future bonuses are up for grabs, but not these.
Methinks Barney Frank needs to redefine incompetence by looking in the mirror.

Barney Fwanks doesn’t mind wasting billions every year paying people that do absolutely nothing but sit on their cans and avoid work so why should this bother him?

Rep. Barney Frank charged that a decision by the financially strapped Congress, which is 80 percent owned by lobbyists, to pay yearly salary increases amounts to "rewarding incompetence."
I like my version better.

Barney needs to look in the mirror to get a good view of incompetence being rewarded.

AIG shareholders should be livid with rage. They've seen their investment depreciate with no dividends and AIG has the nerve to pay Bonuses?!!

Obama said he has asked Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner "to use that leverage and pursue every legal avenue to block these bonuses and make the American taxpayers whole."'make us whole' - what does that mean? He has done nothing but dig us a deeper hole...
To: An.American.Expatriate
me thinks the administration and probably Barney, already knew of the bonuses beforehand and are grandstanding.
If the government owns 80% of AIG, then they have control and the Board of Directors cleared the decision with the administration watchdogs. IMO
