It is stupid and unacceptable.
I have it from other sources that this may not be totally true. If anything its to limit the export only of once fired military brass.

Thanks, I forgot we already had a thread on this.
Either way about folks, save your brass!
Hey, nobody can access that thread without registering.
But thats a nice forum!
I never knew there was a big following of the M14 until I joined FR and I’ve never seen that one, either.
Even as a kid I had an plastic M14 - of course it didn’t shoot, but you can’t even find those great toys anymore.
Bookmarked - Thanks!
There is a very good thread on this at The Firing Line forum. Even they can’t be sure exactly what is going on but suffice to say that they are for the most part sceptical.

“...critical ammo shortage...”
Hard to believe when I visit the firearms section at the local Bass Pro shop.
Don't make me laugh.
It's the socialist / communist game plan.
Until you, and others, are ready to take your country back from these criminal gangs occupying our goverment offices, you will simply be wasting your time writing letters & calling these globalists.
But hey ... it's your time, paper, pen, and phone.
S'cuse me ... I need to shed a tear.
I’m sorry about that, of course I can see all the threads, wink.
They have .38’s???
Mine doesn’t and hasn’t since before Christmas, nor .40 nor .45 nor 380...[maybe a couple boxes of .38’s: they had less than a dozen at $22...]
In a pinch one can turn down 9mm cases to make a .380 case, the bullets are the same you do need to stay below 115gr. 90-100gr. is best, its possible to take a 124gr 9mm bullet and turning it into a lighter hollowpoint to make a .380 round.
.38 @ $26.99
.45 @ $29.99
And you can order it for delivery via ground shipment.
Granted...it is not cheap.
I even have 700 rounds of 7mm benchrest for my Remington XP-100....
Pretty well stocked up. I don’t miss very often.
I have the back half of an M1 Garand receiver that was destroyed by the Xlinton administration that I bought at a gun show for a quarter. I stumbled across it again the other day. It made me sad and sick to see it again, and remember what a waste it was.
If it is a hoax, then all the small reloading component businesses who sell government auction purchased brass are falling for it.
Every supplier of once fired brass is either out, or has ‘suspended sales’ on their remaining stock. Basically overnight all sources of the brass have dried up.
I just ordered 1000 pieces of new Winchester .223 brass from Cabelas, they have lot in stock at good prices(for new brass).
Here’s a link to a list of once fired brass sellers...most of them have none, the ones that do are sitting on it.

Sorry for the crazy paragraphs, I always forget that what is a paragraph in my little posting box isn’t always a paragraph once posted.
I have a XP-100 221 fireball myself. Have had it many years. Mounted with long eye relief 3-X Burris scope.
It is very accurate.
Once-fired 223 and 7.62x39 brass are almost impossible to find right now. There would be no need to destroy it, since they’re selling it faster than they’re making it.
7.62x39 is almost impossible to find right now...
.308 and .223 have more than doubled in price...
9mm, .45acp, .38spl and .357 mag are hard to find in most areas except the premium high priced stuff...
