Republicans won all their elections without the minority vote. I hit a never with you Obama voter because it is the truth that most (not all) minorities vote for welfare, affirmative actions, and entitlements. You replied by the typical liberal answer of racism. You are the racist. You want blacks to remains on government welfare so they can keep voting for liberals and there is nothing more racist and more unhuman than that. You liberals have destroyed the black families since you enacted the great society. All what you wanted is to make a majority of them addicted on welfare and entitlement so they can give their vote in return. You liberals are the worst racists on the planet.

Ok, you win, ignore the shifting demographics of the country and look back at how we won in the past.

I’ll ask you to not assign a liberal tag on me just because I had the temerity to suggest the “minorities only vote for welfare” meme was a self fulfilling prophesy. I don’t understand how people don’t get that. It goes to the central point of the article, minorities need to accept conservative principals as freedom and conservatives need to discontinue the demagoguery.

I think you’re being way too emotional here, Jveritas.

The OP is not calling you a racist—you should stop calling him a liberal.

What he says has a lot of merit, and I agree with many of his points.

I also agree with you about how most minorities, at least today, will not vote Republican/Conservative. THAT is what this article is about. The question is twofold: Why, and can we change it?

I think we can, by NOT PANDERING, but by simply pointing out that the tired, old, white liberal ways of the past 50 years HAVE NOT WORKED. They are only making things worse in many areas. Even if only 25 percent of various minorities see this, that would be a great advantage.

We should strive not to make Republicans into Democrats, but make minorities into conservatives. If only “some” heed the call, that is far better than the reality we now face. With a strong enough message, we can do better than even “some”.
