Meghan McCain responds to Laura Ingrahams attack on her weight: Why is this topic still a socially accepted prejudiceand why in the world would a woman raise it?
BY MEGHAN MCCAIN
Recently my not-size-0 body has come under fire again by the conservative pundit Laura Ingraham. On her radio show recently, she sarcastically commented that I was too plus-sized to be a cast member on the television show The Real World and needled me about my weight with a comment about Barbie's 50th anniversary. Instead of intellectually debating our ideological differences about the future of the Republican Party, Ingraham resorted to making fun of my age and weight, in the fashion of the mean girls in high school. I responded on Twitter by saying, To all the curvy girls out there, dont let anyone make you feel bad about your body. I love my curves and you should love yours too.

She’s a size 8 on Mars.
It isn’t possible to have an “intellectual” debate between Meghan McCain and Laura Ingraham. It requires intellect from both parties. If Meghan wants to play with the big boys and girls she’s going to have to grow a brain first...
It’s not her plus sized body that’s a problem, it’s her plus sized mouth.
She needs to realize that as much as she thinks the world revolves around her, it does not. She shot the opening salvo at Ann Coulter and now others like Laura are chiming in. What did she think was going to come of it?
Meghan needs to also face up to the fact that as political dynasties go, her Father pretty much ended any hope of a McCain family political dynasty by his failure to support true conservative Republican ideals.
Completely NOT guilty.
But you gotta admit, he did do a wonderful job at creating a dynasty of clowns, because that's all his family is, without openly labeling them as quislings and traitors.
To all the curvy girls out there, dont let anyone make you feel bad about your body. I love my curves and you should love yours too.
Meghan, there is difference between being heavy and curvy. Look into and then tells what you are.
She’s never had a thought as deep as her footprints.
Are you talking about her physical footprints or her plus-sized carbon footprints? LOL.
The nut doesn’t fall far from the tree.....
The only part of her body that's not plus-sized appears to be her brain, an organ that may in fact be smaller than the average.
” Instead of intellectually debating our ideological differences about the future of the Republican Party, Ingraham resorted to making fun of my age and weight...”
I suspect if Miss PlusSize wants to take on Laura in an ideological debate, Ingraham will be only too happy to, shall we say, cut her down to size?
I believe there are a lot of CC Republicans like Meghan McCain that get jobs from mommy and daddy at the RNC etc.
Now Meghan wouldn’t work hard enough to work at the RNC, but I’m sure there are those with perspectives just like Meghan that do work at the RNC.
It’s not like Meghan is contributing anything else to the debate. Commenting on her criticisms gets boring, so talk shifts to her plumpness. Maybe Meghan could tell us her political philosophy, the things she thinks would make the Republican Party better. We know she doesn’t like Rush, and she doesn’t like Laura. Let her get out there with some of her own thoughts on politics, so we can articulate why we don’t like her. She’s a big girl. If she takes a beating over silly ideas, she is plenty big enough to handle it.
She’s as relevant as her old man .............
Pallis,
She voted for John Kerry in the 2004 election - I think that gives us a pretty good indication of her inclinations as a “Republican spokeswoman”.
Isn’t there a Proverb about how even a fool is thought wise when she keeps her mouth shut?
These childish attacks—ghostwritten for her, I’d bet—on Coulter and Ingraham are rather like the spitwads Zell Miller spoke of.
Get a life, Meghan. Preferably not in public disservice.
