What if we gave a war and EVERYBODY came?

It could get right sportin', I would imagine. Hope my AR kit arrives by then, although if it doesn't I'll hardly be unarmed. In fact my 7.62x51 rifle might be more appropriate. The sight lines are long in these parts, if you get up on one of the many 200' hills.

Never waste a good crisis, eh? Here comes gun control, in TX, of all places.

Good Luck with that.

Now you know why they prohibited the growing of Hemp oh those many years ago. Make's good ropes. But imported ones will do, as will polypropylene. Whatever, but.

Git A Rope!

lots of ropes actually

Take it from us folks here in the border states...we ARE armed to the teeth!

Except California perhaps, but even there, they are armed, just not a well armed as they'd like to be.

"Tighter gun control and stronger law enforcement in Southwestern states were recommended."

The typical response by the Ayers and Angela Davis crowd.

Restrict freedoms in the US and the world will be a better place.

Invade Mexico and restore order. Because invading my civil rights *instead* is not an option. They are responsible for the problem, so they should suffer the consequenses, not me.

Yeah...and look; some MassHole rep to boot suggesting this.

Massachusetts didn't even want Texas in the Union. John Quincy Adams fought a scorched-earth political war to keep Texas out, and personally delayed Texas's admission to the Union for 10 years.

Of course, when Texas left the Union again 12 years later, that wasn't good enough for Massachusetts, either.

The deal was, they didn't want Texas in the Union as a peer.

Now they want to use an "emergency" to push their substitute for thought off on Texas again. Declare "insurrection" or "invasion", impose martial law -- and burn Texas to the ground, for Massachusetts's good.

Talk to your FFL and see if he can get you one of Ronnie Barrett's Texas-made popguns. He's right down the road from us in Houston.

Rep. John Tierney, D-Mass., said Thursday during a House subcommittee considering changes to U.S. gun laws. “Let’s examine our gun laws, let’s cut down on U.S. drug consumption,

Sounds like Tierney needs to have a conversation with Ron Paul.

The whole lot of them are shovel ready. The only thing congress should vote on is who digs first and who hops in first.

Scary stuff with Napolitano running the show. She couldn’t even get a handle on the violence in her own state. Phoenix is now the number 2 city for kidnappings. Could zero have picked a more incompetent person to run Homeland Security?

What an asshat. What does someone from Massachusetts know what's going on 1800+ miles away (and that's the closest, direct line) at the Texas / Mexican border.

And rep Tierney, in case you forgot you were elected to represent the people who live in your peehole of a district not in Texas or ANYWHERE else in the USA.

Declare "insurrection" or "invasion", impose martial law -- and burn Texas to the ground, for Massachusetts's good.

The last attempt to subject Texas was short lived and did not work out that well.

And the last Civil War was fought over Northern financial interest vs Southern agricultural interests. Not about slavery (which was a despicable thing).

And by the way, my ancestors were literally burned out of Alabama during Reconstruction. That is how we came to live in Texas.
