Another thing the 50 cal can do is to deliver 12 thousand foot pounds of terminal energy. Ouch.
You load a 270 wsm cartridge with one of those Barnes all copper 140 gr bullets and enough R25 or whatever to move it at around 3300 fps, and there isn’t anything in North america it won’t kill from 1000 yards. And the gun and the scope will weight around 10 lbs.
DROOL...I’ll bet that 50 can punch engine blocks as well.
