although I have never heard of such a thing, it would be pretty clever for a group with an agenda to infiltrate the SCOTUS with a “civil service clerk,” or a law clerk although I think they may assigned to one justice or another. By worming themself into the right position they could control that which comes before the justices.

Judging from this article, it’s not only possible, but plausible. The question is whether this is the result of a concerted effort or the independent acts of a number of biased individuals. Either way ... heads should roll for tampering with the legal system.
