This is perhaps the most chilling article I have ever had the sad duty to alert the CWII ping list to. FYI.

I've been pretty quiet on CW-II related threads. On the odd occasion I do "reluctantly" ping Travis McGee on something which is blatantly CW-II noteworthy, but other than this, my opinions on the subject largely remain my own...only really known by a few close to me and my family.

It is a FACT that there are homes and associations of homes (multi-household) bristling with EBRs, ammo, and chock full of people, who while they might not all agree on every detail and facet of life, they have vowed to defend their homes and the homes of those in their circle with necessary force. So far, these people have been quiet and peaceful. Often times, those living around them don't even suspect. One of the things that I see however is that there's not going to be the opportunity to escalate using necessary force. The issue I'm TRYING to get at here is that which will occur when the authorities attempt to ENFORCE things such as the subject of this thread.

So far, certain of our illustrious Alphabet Agencies have shown up at O-Dark-Thirty (sometimes at the WRONG house), roughed and cuffed everybody...confiscated weapons. Where they can't produce charges, they've been known to create them well in advance (reference the Randy Weaver case especially with respect to entrapment). Eventually, the enforcers are going to kick the door down on one of those houses which is quiet and peaceful. They're simply not known to contain the sorts of of people, or the capabilities that are known to be within them. ...and when this happens, it will make national news, if not global news.

So my question is, "WHO will be the example?" It's a metaphorical question. But who will it be? Will people take things a little more seriously once this starts happening? Or will they simply continue to absorb the evening news and believe that the "targeted house" which resulted in the bloodbath in that quiet neighborhood was truly a domestic terrorist cell as reported? Or will they pull together and act in a manner which will actually provide some measure of tangible security and benefit? I'm not certain at this point. The ratio of people who would TRULY defend their homes and the U.S. Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic seems to be way off kilter at this point. Many here would argue with me. But I challenge those to do a mental count of others around them and then come to terms with how few they can count who are like them.

I have a neighbor who is hung up on the classic theme of "THEY'RE COMING TO TAKE YOUR GUNS!" I really grow weary of this theme for various reasons, none of which I'm willing to discuss here. He announced to me with much bravado and exclamation that he would take at least three of the JBTs down with him if they came to his house at 0200 unannounced! I told him that I was sure that he would! I told him that I had NO doubt that he would take at least a couple before they riddled him with suppressed UMP-45s (or something similar) as the house was filling with tear gas and he couldn't breathe or see.

What I told him after this illustrates a common problem here in America...especially in the burbs. Not ALL suburbs are like this! But most are full of people who simply don't know their neighbors. They might know one to three houses around them. But they really don't know their neighbors. I contrast this with rural America and it's quite a contrast. Everybody knows EVERYBODY out in the country...for better, or for worse!

After my neighbor finished his rant and stood there in front of me still breathing hard, with his chest puffed out. I told him that I had no doubt he would act in the manner described by him. He's a former U.S. Army "ground pounder" and a Vietnam vet, and based on his past experience, I think he's telling me the truth about himself. But this is NOT the issue. It's not a question as to whether or not he's going to defend HIS own house! That was never in question! I told him that the question is whether or not he's willing to fire on intruders of that house over there (as I pointed to the house catty cornered, just across the road) from their rear as they converged in the wee dark hours of the night! He stopped and I could tell that his brain was having some sort of malfunction, or "disconnect". He stammered that he didn't even know the guy!

What I've described above shows a default behavior that needs correction in response to current socio/political circumstances here in America. People assume that because three black SUVs full of Kevlar Ninjas show up at night, that somebody MUST have done something wrong. But the DEFAULT should be that neighbors swarm like a hive full of Yellow Jackets and counter the intruders (sanctioned or NOT) with a greater force.

Unless this default behavior is corrected, people will be unprepared when enforcers show up. Plus, as soon as these enforcers show up at certain peaceful and quiet houses or neighborhoods, it's going to be bloody at a minimum.

I've had to tell certain people lately that certain other people REALLY do exist! I think there's a division the likes of which we've never seen before here in America. The sheep are not just sheep anymore. They're sheep in a deep, deep state of denial. Those who want to live free have a correct perspective as individuals, but as a group they're largely unorganized and ineffective right now. People here will take offense to that last sentence, but remember that our ratios here are different. Once again, I challenge those who are offended to mentally do the head count and come to terms with the facts.

People are likely to be forced to make choices soon. By my best estimate, they'll be forced to choose once enforcers show up, and that's really a bad time to have to choose.

What I've written above is of course my own opinion, worthless to everybody except myself, but rooted in previous experience as an Info-Warfare technician, student of evolving conflict, and demise of nations.
