To set up a ping list:

  1. Start collecting names
  2. Open a text editor (note pad, word pad, etc...)
  3. Copy and paste screen names and separate with a semi-colon (;)
  4. Save to your desk top for easy access
  5. As others request to be added to the list, copy and paste into the file. Be sure to save after each addition - should your computer shut down unexpectedly you'll lose any names which haven't been saved.

6. Keep a back up of the list on another machine, preferably one in another location.

Many people keep their ping lists on their FR profile page. For instance, see Jack Black’s page:
