Hang on:

The amendment says, in part: "None of the funds made available in this Act may be used for—(1) the creation of a human embryo or embryos for research purposes; or (2) research in which a human embryo or embryos are destroyed, discarded, or knowingly subjected to risk of injury or death."

I think it just prevents use of the money from this appropriation bill. Not necessarily from another bill.

That begs the question is there any money that specifically supports stem cell research in any federal funding?

If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

Right. They take money from thousdands of sources, pour it into one pot, and then pour it into thousands of pots. In the end, they can say “No funding from pot #4,586 can go to cause ABCD”. In essence, it’s a sham. Were that not the case, there is NO WAY the abortion lobby would have let that language stand.

People, read post 34. The federal government can still pay for destroying human embryos for stem cell research. Just not from THAT bill.
