The time is ripe for a Republican to articulate a alternative vision, and to do so in a manner that appeals to independents and solid Democrats.
Obamao just gave the rhetorical finger to a CEO conference in DC that centered on taxes.

The time is ripe for a Republican to articulate a alternative vision, and to do so in a manner that appeals to independents and solid Democrats People don't want to hear from a "Republican" about anything, that seems to be the problem. They don't want to hear from Sarah Palin.
They MIGHT have wanted to hear an outsider Rick Santelli (Joe the Plumber) speak up. But clearly, they lump Boehner/Mcconnel into the Pelosi briar patch.
Maybe this is partly why the frantic effort to tie "outsider" Limbaugh to the GOP anchor....to keep him from soaring as an "outsider".
Finally, what probably accounts for a good measure of the confidence and support the Obama administration has enjoyed is the fact that they are not Republicans. Virtually all Americans, more than eight in 10, blame Republicans for the current economic woes, and the only two leaders with lower approval ratings than Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are Republican leaders Mitch McConnell and John Boehner.
