"The way I read this, some congressmen slipped anti-embryonic stem cell provisions into the omnibus bill and *O* signed it without realizing what he was signing."

Yup, not a one of those pricks in DC read anymore any of the legislation they pass.

TERM LIMITS Movement!!!

I wonder if somebody on the left has embarrassing pictures of Orrin Hatch? He certainly is a favorite RAT tool..

That is just too funny. All that pontificating he did about how science should be guided by “facts, not ideology” and blah, blah, blah! Now, this guy, in such a hurry to sign the Porkubus Spending bill, doesn’t even read the thing to get that language stricken out! Just too funny.

Oh, clearly God answers prayers (if it’s His will!) But honestly, MOST people don’t understand the science and they don’t even know that the only thing Bush did is keep federal funds from being spent on EMBRYONIC stem cell research. I doubt Obama understands the science (he doesn’t appear to). That’s all I was saying.

Has anyone seen this story elsewhere in the news? I can imagine the story is extremely embarrassing to the people who sign things without reading them.

And there’s nothing to prevent *private* money from going to embryonic stem cell research. I get annoyed when I hear scientists crowing on and on about how now “finally” they will be able to study embryonic stem cells.

Could they not study them without public money? Does everything in science requite public money? Jeez.

It’s all about funding, sadly. And if embryonic stem cell research really could deliver all that’s been promised it WOULD have been funded privately. Money corrupts even science.
