Army cavalry, in its tradition, has different decorations and accouterments that are specific to the organization that no other Army units have such as the Stetson, the saber and the spurs,

"Back in the day", NCO's and O's automatically qualified for these, and the E-1 thru E-4 had to pass a Cav specific skill qualifications test to wear them. That was before Gen. Rogers banned all special accouterments from army units.

Of course, "Back in the Day", a Cav battalion-size unit was referred to as a "Squadron", and a company sized unit was a "Troop".

Thanks. All spouses, whether they are with their loved ones or not, are doing their time.

This not only honors the spouse, but lets them feel more like a part of the unit, and helps them to understand our warriors disciplines.
