Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain today denounced as highly offensive remarks about Ronald Reagan made by President Barack Obamas nominee for the number two spot at the Department of the Interior.
At a nomination hearing for David Hayes for deputy secretary of Interior, the former Republican presidential candidate read aloud from an article that Hayes wrote in April 2006 which drew unfavorable comparisons between former President George W. Bush and Reagan.

Reagan was in a class by himself. Neither Bush nor McCain were good enough to wipe his cowboy boots.

McCain...always fighting the wrong battles at the right time...He needs to go retire with the rest of the snowbirds....and take his daughter with him.

What? I'm confused about this typical liberal statement, or rather, McCain's response to it.
How can a comparison to Reagan be bad?
I've read the article, and I would state that this is a typical viewpoint of the typical liberal trash.
I however, see the points raised as flattering, because I believe in the underlying reality of the values that undergird and overarch them.
- The liberal caricature of these values is comically revealing of the authors rank stupidity, and is to be laughed at, not defended or brushed aside.

Lets take a lesson from Bob Dole and John McCain: don’t run old farts against young, pretty democrats!
Thanks.
