Now enterprising Hartford Courant columnist Kevin Rennie has uncovered another suspicious real-estate investment. The story starts in 1994, when the Senator became one-third owner of a 10-acre estate, then valued at $160,000, on the island of Inishnee on Galway Bay.

I'm glad stuff like this is coming out about Dodd, who's a crooked as they come.

But I very much doubt that it's coming out because "enterprising columnist Kevin Rennie" uncovered anything. It's much more likely that someone who has the goods on Dodd decided to drop a dime on him and called Rennie first.

My wife was a Dallas fan 25 or 30 years ago, and I remember episodes having to do with a crooked congressman wheedling for an Irish cottage payoff from JR. Life imitates art once again.
