There is no way I can pass a sobriety test because of balance problems (I’ve had a labyrinthectomy). But I’m sure all cops are trained to spot that.

You just have to say nothing and do nothing until you contact your lawyer and until your lawyer is present.

Good luck with that.

There really is no defense except to not get stopped in the first place.

Here’s the deal. You get drunk and drive. You can refuse the test and lose your license for a year. Or you can blow DWI and get restricted driving. Either way, your insurance company finds out.

The problem is that repeat offenders just keep refusing the test. That way, they never get charged. So we have repeat drunk drivers on the road.
