A Presidential Crisis of Competence
Pajamas Media ^ | March 11 | Tom Blumer

Less than two months into this administration, three things are clear.

First, its agenda is every bit as radical as many of us expected and feared. Based on President Barack Obama’s supposedly unimportant past, there was every reason to believe that this would happen. That some Obama supporters are surprised is a “tribute” to a media elite that treated decade-plus relationships with radicals Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, and others as “distractions from the real issues,” and to a McCain campaign that refused to treat Obama’s candidacy as the threat that it was, and now is.

Second, despite strong signals that he is guiding the ship of state in the wrong direction, Obama and his administration have largely refused to bow to reality. ..

Even the teenagers with whom I work every day are making comments to the effect of “I didn’t know he was like that.” A LOT of people are waking up suddenly. Probelm, Obama IS President and Rahm Emanuel is his chief of staff. Oops, people, you made a BAD mistake and you’re going to have to live with it.

Jimmy Carter was more competent than that boob. At least he knew what he was doing, even if he was doing it all wrong. In contrast, Zero not only doesn't know what he's doing, he's in over his head as President!

It's absolutely amazing. Each new Democratic administration brings us a lower level of president than the one before it. Carter to Clinton and now Obama. Talk about the slippery slope.

Very disconcerting to say the least.

Man, how many newspapers are going to either scream “Obama, YOU SUCK!” or pontificate about how it’s not his faul that he sucks before SOMETHING happens?

Problem with Obama is he is very much like a college sports star; throughout his life people have taken care of his every need. Now, on his own, he has no idea how to handle anything on his own.

"Oops, people, you made a BAD mistake and you’re going to have to live with it."

Unless you're packing to move to Pago Pago, you should have said that they made a bad mistake and WE are going to have to live with it.

Or possibly die with it. Remember, Ayers said, "We're going to have to eliminate 25 million people".

I don't know about that. Clinton, at least, has the sense to go along with public opinion in return for approval on occassion, welfare reform being one such example.

Carter was tone deaf to public outcry. I was hopeful that Zer0 would be no worse than Carter, the worst president since at least James Buchanan, but he's well on track to going below them both.

Yes, you are correct. Those who voted for him made a bad mistake and we’re going to have to live with it. We’ll see what happens.

I, like most Freepers, was never fooled by the declarations of some so-called media conservatives that Obama would operate as a centrist once elected. I knew his background and values were far to the left, but I didn’t think he’d rush to the far-left this early in his admin. I thought he’d wait a few months or even a year to unleash most of his socialists schemes/scams. The fact that he’s unleashing all his socialist poison so early is a dead giveaway that we have a Marxist for president. Just like we said he would be.
