I used to regularly post these links to Real ID threads - especially when states began balking en-masse at the idea of a Federally mandated electronically trackable ID - and when the Feds also were planning to FORCE the states to eat the cost of issuing them.

Many people on this forum used to simply love the idea of a National ID card as the way to deal with the illegal immigration problem....while on the flipside, many of us railed against the idea as a prelude to Federalized monitoring of the LEGAL citizenry's every move, and that such an ID would do absolutely ZILCH to combat illegal immigration.

Wonder how some of those same folks feel now that the Obama Administration is championing this idea?

FYI - the links are a bit dated now and some may no longer work, as it has been well over a year since I compliled this list.

I have no problem with this...of course I, like everyone else who has ever held a job in America, have had a National ID card since I was 16 years old...it's called a Social Security card.

Of course, President Hussein might have a problem since he would FINALLY have to come up with a Birth Certificate to apply. LOL

Yup. It’s funny how different these threads are now that Zero is in charge. There are a lot of alleged “conservatives” on this site who are downright scary in their support of the police state as long as they thing “their” guys are holding the whip.
