Citizens of the USA own European companies too. The European owned companies like Budweiser don't relish the USA in a recession. And, I think European holdings of US Federal bonds is manageable. I'm far more worried about Eastern European mortgage defaults cratering European banks and US having to bail their cabooses out once again.
