That’s a very good analogy your music pastor spoke of and it is a tradition of old with fasting and sacrifices people made for God. I mean real personal sacrifices and most of that means denying the flesh. But I have noticed we live (and yes, it’s probably not lost on you, but for me it’s all becoming clearer) in a society that does nothing BUT pamper the flesh. Day in and day out. And now we have reached a point that reminds me of old Rome where death is for our folly. As Daniel went to the lions for the amusement of a group of soulless people, innocents are dying so man and woman can have sex (not meaningful, but ‘amusement’ sex) with no “consequence” or “punishment”. This is very similiar and in the same way that we look at the Gladiator style of entertainment as horrific. It’s a shame that as “enlightened” as we are, we don’t see abortion in that same way. Seems putting a white coat on something makes it all seem ok.
Why do I feel like I’m writing a sermon? Wow, that just flowed from my fingers at 5:30 in the am.
CONGRATS. VERY WELL PUT.
THX.
PREACH IT!
Preach it, brother! :-)
Of course, meant in a good way...
