Ok, I just remember her saying she wanted embryonic stem cell research or something. I thought anyway.

I will give her a break on this one, Nancy feels Ronaldus Maximus (I can proudly state forever he was the first person I pulled the Presidential lever for) could have been helped by this science, I am not certain she is wrong.

And if anything comes of it, the universities will get the patent rights and subsequent income.
The most viable stem cell work has been with adult stem cells and cord blood. If this was such a great path to medical miracles, venture capitalists and drug companies would have already been doing the research. Connect the dots...we pay...the liberal academics make the money.

She disagreed strongly over President Bush limiting the funding for embryonic stem cell research but she nevertheless endorsed him. Her ballerina son though did endorse the gigolo from Massachusetts; recall his speech to the DNC at the convention, and used embryonic stem cell research as justification for it.

I agree with both of you. If embryonic stem cells were so promising they could fund it with private donations.

Why the Reagan administration did so little about abortion: it was full of pro-choice types like Nancy.Read Hollyweird types. This is sad since other types of stem cells are proving to be much more efficacious.

Ever heard that saying “when you’re real young you’re a liberal, and when you’re real old you’re a liberal, hopefully in between you’re a conservative”.

If there was a Conservative Obama, there would be talk about his radical parents, his rampant admitted drug abuse, his pushy wife, his attempts to ride on the coattails of Abe Lincoln...

If embryonic stem cells were so promising they could fund it with private donations. Liberalism is all about spending OPM (Other Peoples' Money).
Look at Alec Baldwin and Whoopi Goldberg complaining about rising taxrates on the acting profession.

I have been on this planet long enough not to be certain about many things especially when it comes to science, as I indicated. I prefer in these debates people not accept my opinion, but if they do disagree with me I would hope they would provide their own opinion rather than cutting and pasting others.
