And here I was thinking that vaccines and medical treatments derived from various evolutionary sciences was saving lives each day.

That's a bowl full of worms. Ah, viruses, one of the few bastions evolutionists actually have and what a shock you mention it. The invention of vaccines has nothing to do with Creationism, Human Evolution, the literal Genesis, or any other argument in this topic.

And for the record, not everyone believes viruses evolve:

Beyond these programmed changes, we have no clear evidence of the evolution of viruses. All the extant evidence indicates that ancient viruses are identical to those found today. "
