Actually the more majority-minority districts the better for Republicans — that concentrates the heavily Democratic voters into fewer districts and means more Republican majority districts.

If a state has 10 10-voter districts, with 50 voters from each party, 2 districts being set up as minority dominated 9-1 Democratic means the other eight add up to 48-32 Republican and it’s likely the GOP will have a majority in at least six of those other eight.

Though I understand your point, what this really does is create entrenched incumbents and keeps blacks on the reservation. It is immoral and unconstitutional.

It destroys freedom.

Hopefully this will help end the ridiculous gerrymandering that occurs here in NC. I can think of one district that is no wider than the interstate, for large stretches. It was cobbled together for the express purpose of getting a person of the correct color elected....no more, no less.
