Though I understand your point, what this really does is create entrenched incumbents and keeps blacks on the reservation. It is immoral and unconstitutional.
It destroys freedom.

Anyone person, group, or agency watching me is in serious need of a real life. The only thing more boring than my life, would be watching my life.

They don’t need to physically watch you to watch you. It’s all automated. :)

Time for whites to buy homes out in ethnic communities - the result, best candidate wins! If the markets keep cratering, this will be the only place young whites will be able to buy homes.

Norm, this is a mere delay.
My prediction (I hope I am wrong but don’t think I am): Hussein will, before the end of his term, achieve his goal of a generational shift in the SCOTUS by having his sycophant Congress increase the number of justices in that body. He might have them move it to 11 or 12 or 13...then HE will appoint extremely young brainwashed students of Saul Alinsky (much like himself) and Liberty will die.
Hussein will achieve what FDR could not.

The 5-4 decision, with the court's conservatives in the majority, came in the case of a North Carolina plan that sought to preserve the influence of African-American voters even though they made up just 39 percent of the population in a state legislative district.

This part of the Voting Rights act was blatantly unconstitutional. I’m glad I voted for Bush twice.

SCotUS: Court refuses to infringe on white voting rights (5-4 vote, major wrench in dem machine?)I like this title too. It's more truthful but what does the media know about truth?

I have just always found it interesting that the effects of the policy are the reverse of what one might expect at first glance.

Hopefully this will help end the ridiculous gerrymandering that occurs here in NC. I can think of one district that is no wider than the interstate, for large stretches. It was cobbled together for the express purpose of getting a person of the correct color elected....no more, no less.

The liberal’s worst nightmare - the Law of Unintended consequences.
They'd argue against gravity if it would cause depravity.

With Souter, Breyer, Ginsburg and Stevens once again voting to ignore the clearly-stated wording and intent of the law.
Surprise, surprise...

So they can help minorities, but only when they’re not in the ... minority?
