So you were on SURTASS ships also? When I was on them, there was not enough room to house more than a couple extra bodies. If they have reduced the crew size to accomodate a security detachment, why don’t they have them?

Also, these days, an MSC-operated vessel can get a USCG waiver to carry a SecDet above and beyond the COI limit.
