Some politicians - and it appears that Galloway is this kind - cannot see themselves as important unless they are in the headlines. Bereft of noticeable talent, they resort to outrageousness in lieu of accomplishment.
In many circles, such people are known by the brutally honest sobriquet “attention whore”.
