Wonder if that quote will go down in history along side Truman’s “The Buck Stops Here”.....
Yes. . and Truman never whined, in the midst of REALLY hard decisions, Truman never whined - like during some major decisions such as ending WWII with the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. (Now villified and maligned by these effete socialists and intellectuals.)
Thousands of American soldiers were on their way to Japan and Truman knew at least a hundred thousand or more of them would die if he did not put a stop to WWII. They were lined up on board ship and told, “Look at the men on either side of you. One of you three will be killed and will not be returning.” (Related by a family member on board a troop ship headed to Japan when - midway - they got the news that the bombs were dropped and that Japan had surrendered.) My Daddy had just come off years of combat, and if that war had been allowed to continue, he would have as a hardened soldier, of necessity, had to suck it up and hit the shores of Japan.
What we have in authority now has never seen such stark REALITY, and it is as unappetizing as warm puke to hear such snivelling, though the pronunciation is immaculate I suppose. (I don’t want to malign Obama; he is in authority by God’s permissive will, but I suspect strongly that all this “sudden gray hair” may well be cosmetic or washing out of pre-existing hair coloring. Just my suspicious nature I suppose.)
