They love it for now. When the money drys up, when the threats are more frequent than the praise, when they see the potential end of their petty reigns, they'll cut any President loose. Professional politicians are as much driven by the survival instinct as the cockroach. It's all about them.
Things go from bad to worse. At least they don't get much better. The Repubs somehow grow a pair and manage to not trip over their own feet and take back the House. The stupidest thing they could do at that point would be to turn on Obama. The voters would be looking for answers, not vendettas. Better to ram conservatism down his throat. Then, seen as irrelevant, Bam-Bam gets his hiney kicked by Romney in 2012, along with gains in both houses. Then we spend 8 years cleaning this mess up.
