That should cause some real fear among the Karzai government.

Unbelievable. Even before Sept. 11th, the Taliban government had been international pariahs because of their imposition of “pure Islam” on Afghanistan. This included international condemnation of their brutal “Islamic justice” and their barbaric treatment of women.
Then after Sept. 11th, we invaded because the Taliban had given Bin Laden a safe haven, and directly supported him.
To paraphrase George W. Bush in his major speech after Sept. 11th, “the Taliban government must comply with our demands to turn over Bin Laden and Al Qaeda people in Afghanistan to us, or else they would share the fate of the terrorists.”
Aren’t we still committed to the Taliban sharing the fate of the terrorists?
Does Obama need a history lesson of how we got to this point?
