The moderate Taliban are the ones who merely supply the weapons and do the paper work (i.e figures of “dishonored” women and girls killed today, number of sharia executions, honor killings, beard count, etc)

This is an example of the stopped clock being right twice a day. Such an initiative is the analog in Afghanistan of what Gen. Petraeus did in Iraq vis-a-vis the Sunni insurgency that resulted in the Awakening movement. It worked in Iraq. It should work in Afghanistan.

Ok, there may be moderate Muslims, but by deffiniition there are no Moderate members of the Taliban. The Taliban is what defines the radical members of Islam.
