My husband is a physician who trains medical residents from institutions from across the US and the world. He has not been impressed with any from Harvard. They are more likely to have an air of entitlement and cockiness about them and they seem neither inclined to, nor want to, work hard.
What this country REALLY needs is bringing back - with strong emphasis - TRADE SCHOOLS on a level with today's technology, and for the basics too. No more spending 4 years partying and paying outrageous costs so professors can turn them into liberals or socialists. We need education from people who actually have worked in the world to teach other kids how to really work, how things do work; and how they can get gratification and pleasure from doing, building and fixing things.
Too many don't even know how to replace a light bulb! I am serious. My neighbor and I laughed when her son emailed her that he had to buy a new lamp because his was not working. (Now this is a kid studying Business Administration.) When she went to visit him and picked up the lamp...guess what...the bulb had just burned out, LOL. That's today's coddled kids for you!
