I've been told, over and over again, that the legal work being done to hide the President's COLB, is being done pro bono, often enough that I'm beginning to believe it.

Does that simply mean that this work is being done for reasons other than ordinary payments for service (extortion, bribery, ...) ?

Or does that mean that this is one of those lies being repeated often enough to become believable.

I think the pro bono guess is probably correct. These law firms will cash in later on down the line, whether it is in the form of favors, appointments, etc.
