Such garbage has gone on for a very long time. The difference is - in the past, a teacher was “taken care of” when such things happened - either physically dealt with, or run out of town, or it was swept under the rug/ignored.
Now - it goes immediately to the front page because we have a sexually depraved country that actually gets some sort of sick thrill reading about these perverts...

Even 7th grade boys have higher standards than this.

Hello ... I'm Ms. Bowers I am so excited to be teaching math at Bountiful Jr. High! Before I graduated and moved up to jr. high I had been teaching 4th and 5th grade at Boulton Elementary. I received both my bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Utah. I received my math degree from Utah State Univ. I have also received my ESL endorsement. I am looking forward to meeting all of the wonderful students at this school and soaring high with these eagles! My Family Aren't they precious? Meet my two beautiful daughters! I love being a mom! When I'm not working on school stuff, I'm playing with my girls! We love to jump on the tramp (I have to be careful now though, I broke my youngest daughter's hand on the tramp this summer.) We like to ride our bikes, play board games, tease and tickle, snuggle, read and just have fun together! Interests and Hobbies Cute Zert Buddy My girls and I love animals! We have an adorable and energetic boston terrier named Zert. We have three cats, Sassy, Schatze, and Pecos. Sassy thinks she's either a human or a dog - she comes to the door whenever I come home, and when we take Zert for a walk, she follows us the entire way. We also have 2 birds. If I had more room - I'd have more animals! For relaxation I enjoy playing the piano and reading! I'm always looking for a new book to read. I love singing karaoke too. I love to play sports, but I don't seem to have as much time lately. I played volleyball, softball, and swam during high school - and even played volleyball in college. I love peanut butter and chocolate - especially with ice cream! I am totally addicted to lip stuff!

Anyone besides me notice the glorious absence of a father in the teacher’s description or photo?

Thank God I went to school 30-40 years ago.
The teachers I had knew their stuff, acted like grownups, and did their job-and they didn’t have all the narcissistic personal crap about themselves out there—they showed up, did their best to pound some knowledge in our heads, and went home to their lives. We were the kids and they were adults.
I had a math teacher in HS—Mr. Van Allen. Great guy. I remember one of the other teachers mentioning once that Mr. Van Allen was at Omaha Beach on June 6th, 1944—I’m talking first wave. He was badly wounded. Until that other teacher mentioned it, talking in admiriation about him, I never knew it—Mr. Van Allen never even mentioned to us he was a veteran—although most of the male teachers back then were, I suppose.

Yeah, the question was a bit rhetorical...
I checked your flag before responding.

Yes it is. I got to thinking about the boys I was raised up with. They haven’t gotten fortune or fame. They get up and go to work, take care of their families and pull their own weight. They stand up for what they believe is right, regardless of public opinion. They may be hillbillies, but I believe America could use more like them.-—JM

It seems like these articles are
deliberately formulated to conceal the gender of both the perpetrator(s) and the victim. Why is that? The first name "Valynne" is entirely unfamiliar to me, and I thought that it might be a man.
