Actually, I was borrowing that “peasants with pitchforks” term from Pat Buchannon when he referred to the taxpaying middle class (and up) who were angry enough for a Contract with America.

So yes, how long before the angry taxpayers, those with ANY type of retirement plan, and investors are ready to hold someone accountable and want a “good” change, not the change that Obama brings?!!

The big problem is that when SHTF, there will be TWO groups of citizens taking to the streets for entirely different reasons.

You are accounting for US - taxpayers who have gotten completely ripped-off and railroaded into communism.

But when it all finally goes *poof*, there will also be another angry mob, and they'll be pissed-off for an entirely different reason. See, they'll be taking to the streets because the gubmint checks stopped coming in and the urban public infrastructure they depend on for their daily existence will have shut down.

WE will be the enemy to this other angry mob, because they've already established that they feel entitled to live off our work. Without the government to come and take it from us for them, they're going to try to come get it themselves.

I sure hope I'm wrong, but this seems like the inevitable outcome of the welfare state and the class warfare the Left has been setting up for decades now.
