(CNN) -- It seems like the whole world knows all about Barack Obama, so let me introduce you to the anti-Obama, the second most interesting man in American politics. Rush Limbaugh: Whether or not you agree with him he's something to hear.
Rush Limbaugh isn't black, slim, stylish or well schooled. He's a Republican with no elected office but a powerful hold on his party and a place in the news once again.
Limbaugh is the host of a radio show heard across the United States, a big-bellied man who bellows into the radios of millions of people.
He's confident, uncomplicated and almost always on the attack against Democrats, feminists and anyone on the Left.
As Republicans adapt to the role of an opposition party and search for a new opposition leader, Limbaugh may be emerging as their champion.
The Democrats would love it.
They think that Limbaugh, 58, is the very personification of an ugly Republican stereotype: he's a small-town college drop-out, an angry white man, who they believe offends the ethnic, urban and educated Americans the Democrats want to attract.
His latest headline: even in the midst of a profound economic crisis, with millions of Americans waiting for help, Limbaugh says he hopes President Obama's recovery plan fails.
"What is so strange about being honest and saying, 'I want Barack Obama to fail, if his mission is to restructure and reform this country so that capitalism and individual liberty are not its foundation?' Why would I want that to succeed?"
Obama reportedly told Republican leaders they would have to decide. "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done."

Because he's got skills, man.
This has been one of the great panics and scares in American history, rivalling Nativism and the Salem Witch Trials. A liberal paranoid episode in orchestrated hysteria with Rush cast in the role of bogeyman. It's likely many of the participants are angry women with Post-Abortion Rage Sydrome and PETA fanatics suffering from low protein and B vitamin deficiencies.
If you follow the anti-Rush panic and break it down logically the best they can come up with in their arguments is basically this:
"There is this big fat guy who says mean things about us!"
To which conservatives should say, "So what? Turn the radio off or turn it to another station."
This is the liberal paranoid style. It's not new, it's not hope, and it's not change. It won't transform anyone and it won't lead to a new bipartisan era.
They need to take some niacin, B-12, eat some protein, and mellow out.
And the fact that he didn't go to college is actually an advantage in his case in that he never was brainwashed by leftist professors.
Rush is probably the most popular radio talk show host in America.
Obama has accomplished very little in his life except for being the editor of the Harvard Law Review and getting elected to public office. (Some might say he has authored two books, but we're not sure about that.)
If there were any justice in this world all the critters at CNN would self immolate.
Which group has done more lasting damage to the United States during the past 50 years:
A. College dropouts
B. Harvard and Yale-educated Rhodes scholars
Exactly.
“Hee...hee...hee. Lord, I thank You for my enemies.”
That's like saying 'George Soros has no elected office but a powerful hold on his party' - The Democrats
But I'm sure the Democrats would deny it.
The Article is representative of modern, typically compromised journalism.

I asked a few of my under30 employees what they knew about Rush this morning:
“He’s that fat blow-hard who wants Obama to fail.”
Have you ever listened to him?
“No...I would never listen to him.”
We ignore the impact of the media at our own peril.
That Obama, the Harvard Law wonderboy, thinks deficit tax&spend socialism will work (during a Recession!) speaks volumes.
Speaking of the Harvard Law Review...can someone show me one Review with Obama’s name on it?
What exactly does this article hope to accomplish? Conservatives who read this drivel are going to laugh. Liberals will just nod their heads in agreement. This is why attacking Rush is stupid on the Left’s part. If he’s the stereotype of what Republicans are, then just let him talk and damage the party, right?
cnn: obummer’s newly minted publicity czar.
GOD BLESS RUSH
The affirmative action track at Harvard must follow different rules and standards. Maybe Susan Estrich could fill everyone in.
POST 9, WELL SAID!
Rush does not bellow. This “I hope he fails” thing is hardly the latest sensation, it was yesterday’s news last week. And I doubt seriously if Mr. Mann has ever listened to a single one of his broadcasts.
