RNC Loses Online Director
Washington Post ^ | 5 March, 2009 | Jose Antonio Vargas

The GOP's top Internet official is leaving the Republican National Committee.

Arguably the most respected technocrat in the Republican Party, Cyrus Krohn is just the latest in a string of officials to resign from the RNC; last week, the RNC's finance director quit. But because GOP Chairman Michael Steele made leveraging the Internet to attract voters to the Republican Party a top priority ina tech summit two weeks ago, Krohn's departure comes as an especially heavy blow -- not just to the RNC, but to the conservative blogosphere.

A veteran of Microsoft and Yahoo, Krohn joined the RNC in July 2007 and started to reboot the party's online infrastructure. Immediately, he launched new sites within GOP.com (such as GOPPlatform2008.com, which allowed visitors to help shape the party's platform in advance of the Republican National Convention), created the RNC's Facebook group (which now has roughly 7,000 more members than the Democratic National Committee) and grew the RNC's e-mail list from 1.8 to 12 million.

An out of control Democratic party, a tattered GOP.

Gonna be a bumpy, terrible ride

Chin up.

Things can turn around on a dime. Remember when the shoe was on the other foot in 2002?

What happened? (R)s forgot their principles, because greedy self serving corrupt a-holes, and were run out of town.

The ‘Rats are setting themselves up for even more spectacular failure.

Frankly, I hope the recent pathetic RINO ridden “democrap lite” GOP burns to the ground. Maybe a conservative phoenix will rise from the ashes. I welcome the chance for that to occur. Things can’t be any worse than the hypocritical sellouts we have been plagued with.

What dope in the RNC hired this potential saboteur?

Anybody who holds the Republican party true to their heart wouldn't work for the Hillary and Obama campaigns. Glad he's being shown the door.

From what I know about this guy, he just works for who contracts him. Hillary? Obama? RNC? Why would any of them trust him?

Onward!

Now he’s jobless after walking away from the RNC job. Think about the motivation it took to take that step.

I doesn’t matter if they get the message out to more people if it’s the wrong message.

Step #1 has to be SCRAP Steele!

Morte likely the guy, a former employee of Hillary and Obama, was motivated by having his a$$ kicked out the door.
