Twisting a Philadelphia sports slogan, about 30 protesters stood at the gate of Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie's Wynnewood mansion yesterday and shouted, "Pay, Eagles, pay!"
Under the watch of about a half-dozen Lower Merion Township police officers, members of the activist group ACORN held a half-hour "tailgating" protest, complete with grilled hot dogs, at dusk. The protesters contended that the Eagles still have not shared with the city money from rents on luxury boxes from when the team played at Veterans Stadium.
No one from the house came to the gate during the protest. A telephone call to an Eagles spokesman was not answered.
Pointing out that Mayor Nutter has proposed cutting some city services, ACORN activist Junette Marcano of the Oak Lane section said it was important to look at ways to raise revenue without reducing services. Low- and moderate-income communities, which ACORN works to help, rely heavily on city services, she said.

This is a test of ACORN’s power at the most local level.
If this succeeds to force payments from wealthy residents, it will spread across the country like a plague.
Obama, Mr. Bringing Us Together, is instigating class warfare not to benefit those who earn, but purely to take advantage of the fears, anger and ignorance of those who don't earn, but who do vote.
He isn't just going to fiddle while Rome burns; he'll provide the matches and gasoline, all so he can be ruler over the ashes.
Looks like ACORN is shaping up to be Obama’s “civil defense force.” They sound like home grown terrorists.
I think economic reality is going to hit the inner cities faster and harder, as the economy continues to tank. Inner cities are maintained by governments who are going to be like GM and Chrysler just as soon as those tax dollars start to shrink. Except for one little point and that would be the state and city government bailout, and how far it will go to curtail economic reality.
As long as economic reality continues to be propped up the economy will continue to slide deeper into reality, and that, unfortunately, is now the only hope for mankind, and freedom, IMHO.
The pretender obsesses over being a black Lincoln, down to formenting a civil war.
Who will fire the first shot? Or will this be a bloodless Communist takeover?

I loathe ACORN and everything they are, but this is happening in a Blue State and in a Blue city. There is just a little bit of, “You voted for it; you got it,” going on in my heart right about now.
Not satisfied with their government handouts ACORN goes after Corporations. It’s a tried and true practice worked by Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton for years.
Of course we can’t mention the race of thos involved, that wouldbe racist, suffice it to say it’s the same bunch with a new name.
Are they planning to forcibly move into the premises?
The Italian mob is dead, broken up, and bankrupt. Philly has no more teeth. The city is now run by ACORN and the Black Panthers.

Where do these "ACORN" protesters get the money and time to rabble rouse? Are they the new brown shirts for our Neo-Marxist administration? They are all over the place like vermin, always wanting someone else's money to pay for their version of a "perfect" world.
From your mouth to God's ears. I can only pray that ACORN is taken down. They are a force to be reckoned with.
If you pay taxes, you are funding them.

How else will the ACORN employees justify their salaries?
Poor old Jeff; did he really work for/vote for Obama? Guess this will be a hard, object lesson in the true nature of Marxism. Once they’re in power, the commissars no longer consider you a friend. On the contrary, wealthy Fellow Travelers are always among the first to be marched off to the Gulag.
