I fully support the Second Amendment...but I just have to ask— what sort of wedding was he going to that he thought he needed this for? I have been to many a redneck wedding and even a couple of “shotgun” weddings but never one that a guest would feel the need for all this.
For all what, a rifle and a shotgun? Heck I normally have at least that in the trunk of my car, in case I have time to run by the range while I'm out and about. He was going to Maine, maybe he wanted to do some shooting with his buddies while he was there.
Sounds eminently reasonable to me. And travelling alone...I always carry multiple level of protection.

“All this”? He was showing off his cool stuff to his buddies. I’ve been to several weddings where the men show off their new, or favorite, hardware.
As for “all this”, many on this forum are far, far heavier armed than this kid.
There is a whole culture where owning arms is not only accepted, it’s celebrated, and people in this cominity share.
