We in the UK are not allowed by law to use the term GOLLIWOG, as the “wog” bit at the end is considered racially offensive as it means Westernised Oriental Gentleman, British sarcasm towards “Blacks”. We have to say (In Public) Golly. We do however refer to the White House as “Uncle Toms Cabin” and sing to the tune of the nursery rhyme Have you seen the Muffin man the words Have you seen the MAU MAU man.
