Regarding salty talk aimed at the president (or other officials) vs visits from the SS

Unfortunately, we are saddled with a communist sympathizer in the White House. I don't know whether or not he's an actual card carrying commie, but he's definitely an America-hating, anti-capitalist Marxist leftist who thinks communism is the way to go. Now I remember when America used to fight against communism. It wasn't that long ago. Many of us on FR are veterans of wars against communism and some of us believe that American citizens who are communists are the enemy within, ie, the domestic enemy we've sworn to defend against. American citizen? hmmmm... that may be a loophole for Obama.

At any rate, the oath is to defend our constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. I can imagine that this places an enormous strain on our Secret Service agents. It's obvious to anyone with a brain that Obama is an enemy of the constitution. So should the SS defend the constitution or defend the anti-constitution commie?

So now comes the problem. If you feel it's your duty to call Obama a traitor and use salty language in your proposed resolution, ie, suggest the commie be keelhauled, walked off the plank, run up the yardarm, tarred and feathered and run out of Dodge, etc, etc, etc, you may be facing a visit from your friendly Secret Service. And even though your visiting agent may agree politically, and may take his oath to the constitution seriously, he's still sworn to protect the officeholder and it's his duty to take all threats seriously. And that may include serving me with a subpoena to turn over your IP address. Now I'm duty bound to protect your privacy to the best of my ability, but I cannot defend against stupidity.

Best advice I can give is to keep it to yourself. Don't post anything that may embarrass you later, or end you up in the slammer.

I suggest that everyone, even though you are not saying anything that would require a visit from the SS, go through a proxy server or use an IP hider. Hide your IP. That also helps Jim because he can't turn over your IP. Most people have an IP that changes constantly and is shared with thousands of others. NEVER EVER use AOL's browser. AOL is not your friend and they are affiliated with Time Warner and Google.
I'm suggesting this because we don't live in normal times right now. We have a POS president( yea SS that means piece of sh*t, come get me), who calls out citizens like Joe the Plumber, Rush, Santelli, etc. Of course if they start violating 1st amendment rights when it's obvious there is no real threat involved, all hell is probably going to break lose, but a good crisis is what they need, don't give them that opportunity and Cheney many times. I don;t see them in jail or shut down. You can't say you are planning it, going to do it, would help do it, things like that. I have seen a few but it was obvious it was in a joking manner. I haven't seen a single one on here that threatened to do anything illegal. There are some deleted by the mods, so have no clue what they said. There is another Internet site, an antithesis of FreeRepublic.com, which relishes drag and paste of anything they find at FR that they feel will be actionable or even distasteful to their Kenyan Klown's reputation. We have these 'other site' posters using an FR name to defend their affirmative action fraud-in-chief, daily.

Perhaps I shall from now on think in terms of what the 'other site' posters are looking for and disappoint the dreks. That way the Secret Service will not have to waste their valuable time running down 'other site' poster accusations.

So should I ever call Obama a terrorist loving Marxist traitor who should be frog marched off to Guantanamo to stand trial for sedition; and that causes the SS to come looking for my IP, feel free to give it to them.
