Obama Channels Nixon
Townhall.com ^ | 03/05/2009 | Ken Blackwell

This week it’s been revealed that President Obama’s top White House advisors are launching a long-planned Nixonian attack on Rush Limbaugh intended to hurt the Republican Party. This Chicago-style strategy is the exact opposite of what President Obama promised during the campaign. While he promised to be the next Ronald Reagan, he is instead the next Richard Nixon.

First, we saw President Obama’s top advisor, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, use a Sunday-morning national show, Face the Nation, to say Rush Limbaugh is the leader of the Republican Party. Then Wednesday, President Obama’s campaign manager, David Plouffe, wrote a column in the Washington Post entitled, “Minority Leader Rush Limbaugh.” And President Obama himself publicly told Republicans to reject Mr. Limbaugh.

Now Politico reports this strategy was planned months ago. Democrat pollster Stan Greenberg worked with Mr. Emanuel, James Carville and Paul Begala to find a boogey-man. Their polling indicated that Mr. Limbaugh would be a tempting target to alienate moderate voters from the GOP. Then in an effort to undermine their political opposition, they planned to deceitfully portray Mr. Limbaugh as the leader of the GOP. (snip)

Mr. Limbaugh is the most successful radio personality on the air today. With 20 million listeners, he has an enormous audience, to which he unapologetically proclaims the virtues of conservative policies and passionately advocates for politicians to base policy on a conservative philosophy.

Actually, in the absense of anyone else, Rush might be the defacto leader of the GOP. It sure isn't Steele, or any of the eunuchs in the senate.

I'm actually glad they are throwing a spotlight on Limbaugh and by extention the very few other conservative voices out there. They are going to have a heyday with it.

I was disappointed that Ken Blackwell didn’t win. I heard him speak in the fall on a panel and I was very impressed with his consistently conservative views. He seemed very sincere and heartfelt in his values.

Nixonian attack

The liberal media chewed Nixon up and spit him out.

What exactly IS a "Nixonian attack"? How is it different from anything JFK or LBJ did?

The difference is that as far as the MSM is concerned, JFK and LBJ were saints.

Security Breach at the White House
Obama’s Dirty Trickster Gathers Data – Leaves For DNC
By TVC Executive Director Andrea Lafferty

March 4, 2009 – After unprecedented access to Bush Administration documents, dirty trickster Shauna Daly has left the White House Counsel’s office to go to work for the Democratic National Committee.

Daly, 29, had no legal experience when hired to work for White House Counsel Greg Craig, but she had earned a reputation as a dirt-digger against Republican candidates. She formerly worked for the DNC as a dirty trickster. (snip)

It shows that he is a puppet and someone else is calling the shots.
