"TheEroticReview.com" Founder David Elms Cut Out of His Own Business; Misses Court Hearing By Ray Stern in News Wednesday, Mar. 4 2009 @ 9:42PM

The founder of a Web site for finding and rating prostitutes has been fired from his own company following accusations by Phoenix police that he tried to have someone killed.

David Elms was scheduled to appear before a judge at Maricopa County Superior Court for a hearing on various criminal charges today, but didn't show. Officials agreed he might have been confused about the date, says a court spokesman, so the hearing was postponed until March 18. elms david.jpg

Since our post last month about Elms' arrest, prosecutors have dropped the charge of conspiracy to commit murder, but he's still charged with trying to hire someone to seriously injure a 62-year-old man. Police also accuse him of weapons misconduct, conspiracy to buy drugs he intended to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A lawyer for the Web site, www.theeroticreview.com, issued a statement to the New York Times today stating Elms and the company had "parted ways." The company also published an online news release about the separation.

The Times article also says a man who runs a Phoenix-based Website, sexwork.com, claims he's the man Elms wants to injure. The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, also apparently put up a long comment on our blog post about Elms, saying he has information about crimes Elms is supposed to have committed, which is why Elms wants to hurt him.

OK, I'll bite.....how does one go about applying for a job with these folks? I mean I know it's hard work, and somebody has to do it you know (In memory of Caroline Kennedy).

Dave Elms was always corrupt. Other more honestly run sites like http://fairplayreviews.com and http://ahc.com are taking its place.
