(NNPA) - In the aftermath of President Barack Obamas historic address to a joint session of Congress last week, the reaction to his call for American courage in the face of economic uncertainty has been widely hailed.
''Tonight, President Obama set forth a powerful vision for our country and an agenda for change that deserves the support of all Americans, said Sen. Edward Kennedy (D- Mass).
President Obama is exactly the kind of leader we need in the face of our nation's significant challenges, echoed Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ).

Wait. Don’t tell me. It’s because Obomba is a communist.
The only black leaders who hate BHO are blacks who believe in G-d.
I'd say it's mandatory viewing, if there were such a thing. Otherwise, I strongly recommend it to everyone.
I’m sure the individuals being attacked in this article would smile at being called “black leaders.” The conservatives mentioned SHOULD be looked to for leadership in the black community but the liberal media has managed to smear them so badly that it’s not likely to happen.
BTW, the article contained a bald-faced LIE about Obama: the State of Hawaii has never confirmed that Zer0 was born there, only that a valid birth certificate exists in their archives. The place of birth indicated on that vault copy has never been disclosed by any state official.
I liked this part...especially Ann Coulter comment :)
George Curry, veteran journalist and former editor of Emerge Magazine, was blunt.
People such as Alan Keyes and [conservative commentator] Larry Elders have zero credibility in our community. Therefore, I never think about what they think or if they think at all, Curry said.
Stella Adams, newly elected First Vice Chair of the NC Democratic Party, agrees.
As an African-American who fully embraces the agenda that has been set by our President Barack Obama, I am perplexed and dismayed by the remarks of Alan Keyes and others who have made outlandish and very close to seditious statements against our President, she told The Carolinian.
I find it hard to believe that men like Alan Keyes, Larry Elder and others are sincere in their demagoguery but rather they understand that their outlandish positions will extend their 15 minutes of fame, Adams continued. Unfortunately, the media believes that it must put forward the opinions of any Black pundit who speaks in opposition to President Obama regardless of its relevance, I guess it is no different from the coverage that Ann Coulter receives.

Not sure the author is correct, on the 5 previous Presidents with Black heritage -— But Obama only claims 50% “Blackness” -—
So, Alan Keyes picked his skin color out himself, huh? How did he do that?
Apparently, critical-thinking skills aren't his audience's strong suit or he wouldn't get away with such stupid remarks.
If they can’t be rounded up and returned to the plantation, they must be destroyed lest the slaves take heart in their freedom.
“Children with foreign-sounding names learned that they too
can be President of the United States...”
Oh, well sure, why not? Once you’ve elected one illegal alien, may as well not brake with tradition.
This article reflects the political maturity of the average junior high school election chair. Democrats just do not understand competition and compromise. It’s all or nothing with them; all them and nothing for anyone else, by any means necessary.
I love this: because someone works at a conservative think tank, they get paid with “white” money.
And the truth is that Obama is not, except by association, an “African-American,” His father was Kenyan and his mother was white.
It’s one of those “oreo” slurs meant for ears besides ours, I presume.
“Seditious” is a loaded word.
The article is wordy and left leaning. It never really discusses WHY some black people (like myself) believe Obama is a radical socialist. It just accuses us of being “bad” people.
People like Ms. Curry never think at all. It's right out of Ayn Rand; they seek a non-existence, a non-thinking role in the world. If she thought even a little bit, there is plenty to criticize Keyes on, but then she may have to admit that he's right on a few points which would lead to her disagreeing with "our President".
I have to ask this, as I have seen it before. Why do posters use the phrase G-d, when referring to God? I am not singling you out, as I have seem it time and time again.
God Bless Alan Keyes.
