“The right wing talks about this but they keep appealing to that old INDIVIDUALISTIC BOOTSTRAP MYTH: get a job, get rich, and get out. Instead of investing in our neighborhoods, that’s what has always happened. Our goal must be to help people get a sense of building something larger.” (Look how well that worked out in Chicago.)
“In America, we have this strong bias toward individual action. You know, we idolize the John Wayne hero who comes in to correct things with both guns blazing. But individual actions, individual dreams, are not sufficient. We must unite in COLLECTIVE ACTION, build collective institutions and organizations.” - 0bama

The Industrial Revolution Past and Future
Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis ^ | May 2004 | Robert E. Lucas
“Of the tendencies that are harmful to sound economics, the most seductive, and in my opinion the most poisonous, is to focus on questions of distribution. But of the vast increase in the well-being of hundreds of millions of people that has occurred in the 200-year course of the industrial revolution to date, virtually none of it can be attributed to the direct redistribution of resources from rich to poor. The potential for improving the lives of poor people by finding different ways of distributing current production is nothing compared to the apparently limitless potential of increasing production.”

As far as I'm concerned, this whole argument of principals over policy, which was said so well by Rush at CPAC, is conservatives taking back the Republican party away from the elites and moderates. The revolution has begun, and the panic from these so-called conservative commentators/bloggers/representatives is revealing their true colors.

Conservative philosophy IS our policy!

Gibbs is backpedaling and admitting that getting into these wars with Limbaugh, Santelli, et al is “counterproductive”.

Simply more evidence that the Dailykos-KRATS of which all of Zero’s administration consists of - are indeed a bunch of douchebags.

Gibbs is one of the lead “Ballerina” Douche’s.

Great backfire Dems! Keep it up!

This is the Lowry remark that bugged me. Frankly, I don't think that Lowry is very intelligent if he really believes what he wrote. How could he think that there was no evidence that a Saul Alinsky community organizer was a socialist?

Obama's critics who accused him of "socialism" during the presidential campaign were roundly ridiculed. What rank name-calling! The charge didn't have much resonance because the best (not particularly convincing) evidence for it was Obama's proposed tax credit for workers who don't pay the income tax.

Rush says he is feeling sorry for Repubs. for going on butt boy shows. He is thinking about calling on a day of amnesty to let the Repubs. go on the shows and let them denounce him and get it over with. He will think of granting amnesty to these poor Republicans.
